Unforgettable Fire

The coolest light show ever, LOL, the stage had glass brick tiles and spotlights shone from below! Things have changed bit now. Remember smuggling in hippies of rum and having the best gig of my life. Bloody hell it was hot though, with cups of water being passed out and thrown over the crowd. So many classic songs, still relevant and banging today!

This was the first time I had seen U2 I was going out with a guy at the time who loved them I was 14, this was the start of my U2 obsession which has now spanned 25 years. I wasnt that far from the front and I remember looking past Bono and spotting the drummer Larry Mullen Jnr instantly was besotted and still to this day am somewhat gaga over him haha ! An awesome band with awesome music and I hope we get to have them around playing great music for a few more years yet .... Thanks U2 for coming to NZ now whens the next concert here !

We went to tho both nights an even though the venue is known as the concrete jungle U2 were superb. A sign of better things to come. This was also when Greg started working as their roady. Lovely guy who loved these guys.
